With no set curriculum, program, staff or faculty to inform the design, it was always understood that the building would need to evolve over time.
Day one Avenues New York campus in 2012 was designed and constructed for the launch of a global network of schools set to attract a staggering 700 students as a completely brand new school offering in the city. The sister building on West 26th street, which was constructed and opened in 2018, was an opportunity for a facility to be purpose-designed from scratch. A meaningful effort amongst administrators, architect, faculty and owner resulted in the design of spaces that worked so well, they set the standard for future Avenues campuses around the world.
